Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art veterinary technology, and our team includes highly trained emergency veterinarians, board-certified specialists, and experienced veterinary technicians. VERC is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of medical care with compassion, clear communication, and a collaborative approach.
As an emergency and referral-only veterinary hospital, we do not offer general practice services or retail pet products as our focus is entirely on urgent care and specialized veterinary medicine.
Over 40 Years of Trusted Emergency Veterinary Services in Pensacola
Founded in 1982 as the Pensacola Animal Emergency Clinic, our hospital has served pets and their families with after-hours emergency veterinary services for more than four decades. In 2003, we became the Veterinary Emergency Referral Center (VERC) when Dr. David Bordelon, a board-certified veterinary Criticalist, joined the team and expanded our offerings to include specialty veterinary services.

In 2007, we relocated to our current, purpose-built facility designed to support the latest in veterinary diagnostics and treatments. Since then, VERC has continued to grow, adding veterinary specialties and staying at the forefront of innovative veterinary care.
